MDG Guidelines 2020 | Effective on 1 January 2020

The Market Development Grant (MDG) is a financial support facility in the form of a reimbursable grant. MDG was introduced in 2002 with the objective to facilitate Malaysian exporters’ core expenses in promoting Malaysian made products or services globally. The maximum ceiling amount for Malaysian SMEs, Professional Service Providers, Trade and Industry Associations, Chambers of Commerce, Professional Bodies and Cooperatives will increase from RM200,000 to RM300,000 per life time.
 
The Malaysian SMEs, Professional Service Providers, Trade and Industry Associations, Chambers of Commerce, Professional Bodies and Cooperatives that has fully utilised RM200,000 also eligible to claim for additional RM100,000 for participation in export promotion activities.
 
MDG 2020 highlights:
 
 
i. Ceiling MDG will increase from RM200,000 to RM300,000.
 
ii. Eligible expenses for participation in International Trade Fair held overseas had been revised from RM15,000 to RM25,000.
 
iii. Eligible criteria for MDG – to include Co-operatives (trade related), incorporated under Cooperatives Societies Act 1993.
 
 
This announcement will take effect 1 January 2020.

中总将于2019111日(星期五),上午9时至下午1时,在中华总商会大厦成枫堂举办中总企业责任条文(反贪会法令第17A条文)讲座会吉隆坡暨雪兰莪中华总商会与巴生中华总商会为此活动的协办单位。

 

2009年反贪会法令第17A新增条文将于20206月正式生效。届时,若公司雇员涉及贪腐行为,其公司也将会受到对付。有鉴于此,中总举办企业责任条文讲座会,向公司董事、合作伙伴和商业组织管理层介绍和讲解企业责任条文的含义和覆盖范围,以让他们更了解即将实行的条文。

 

首相署部长拿督刘伟强是开幕主宾及将会发表主题演讲。马来西亚全国总商会总会长暨中总总会长丹斯里拿督戴良业将出席致辞。

The Associated Chinese Chambers of Commerce and Industry of Malaysia (ACCCIM) will be organising the ACCCIM Seminar on Corporate Criminal Liability for Corruption (Section 17A MACC Act) on 1st November 2019 (Friday) at 9.00 am to 1.00 pm at the Seng Peng Hall, Wisma Chinese Chamber, 258, Jalan Ampang, 50450 Kuala Lumpur. The Seminar is co-organised by The Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Kuala Lumpur and Selangor (KLSCCCI) and Klang Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCCI).

 

The enforcement of Section 17A of the MACC Act 2009 will be effective from June 2020. Under the new provision, a commercial organisation could be prosecuted if a person associated with the organisation commits a corrupt act. In view of this, ACCCIM organise the Seminar on Corporate Liability to introduce the Corporate Liability Provision and its implications to Directors, Partners and Management of Commercial Organisations so as to create awareness.

 

YB Datuk Liew Vui Keong, Minister in the Prime Minister's Department (Law) is the Guest of Honour and will deliver a keynote address.

Tan Sri Datuk Ter Leong Yap, President of the National Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Malaysia (NCCIM) cum President of ACCCIM

will deliver a speech.

 

Registration fee for members of ACCCIM Constituent Members and Associate Members is RM50 per person; members for supporting organisation is RM100 per person; and for non-members is RM150 per person. Constituent members and Associate Members are requested to disseminate the information to members so as to encourage participation. The Registration Form (ANNEX 2) is as enclosed.
