The Market Development Grant (MDG) was introduced in 2002 with the aims to support Malaysian exporters’ core expenses in promoting Malaysian products or services. The SMEs can apply for reimbursable grant up to RM200,000 for the eligible export promotion activities.
Kindly be informed that effective 30 September 2019, we have updated three (3) changes and additional information on the Market Development Grant (MDG) Guidelines for the purpose to enhance the implementation of the programme.
With regard to the above, the highlights can be referred as follows:
i. Page 5: Additional information on International Trade Fairs or Exhibitions held in Malaysia, description box - every event on international trade fair held locally MUST be endorsed by MATRADE for grant application purposes;
ii. Page 7: Additional information for TIM or EAM - details have been rearranged accordingly for better understanding and view; and
iii. Page 8: Disclaimer box - as awareness to applicant that any application will be processed and considered by MATRADE based on the requirements and terms and conditions stated in MDG Guidelines.

INVITATION TO ATTEND ACCCIM INDUSTRY 4.0 CONFERENCE
中总将于2019年9月28日（星期六），上午9时30分至下午4时30分，在中华总商会大厦成枫堂举办中总工业4.0研讨会。吉隆坡暨雪兰莪中华总商会与巴生中华总商会为此活动的协办单位。
我国政府推出“国家工业4.0政策”，以推动国内制造业及相关领域朝向数字转型，提高生产力、效率和质量。研讨会特设“面对面” 环节、专题讨论和工业4.0诊所，邀请了相关专家，为出席者提供咨询，协助中小企业为迈向工业4.0做好准备。
国际贸易及工业部副部长王建民博士是大会开幕主宾，同时参与“面对面”环节，与出席者对话。马来西亚全国总商会总会长暨中总总会长丹斯里拿督戴良业将出席致辞。
中总基本会员及团体会员的会员报名费为每人RM100；非会员每人RM150。

The Associated Chinese Chambers of Commerce and Industry of Malaysia (ACCCIM) will be organising the ACCCIM Industry 4.0 Conference on 28th September 2019 (Saturday) at 9.30 am to 4.30 pm at the Seng Peng Hall, Wisma Chinese Chamber, 258, Jalan Ampang, 50450 Kuala Lumpur. The Conference is co-organised by The Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Kuala Lumpur & Selangor (KLSCCCI) and Klang Chinese Chamber of Commerce & Industry (KCCCI).
The Government of Malaysia has launched the “National Policy on Industry 4.0” to drive digital transformation in the manufacturing and related services sectors so as to increase its productivity, efficiency and quality. This upcoming conference will include a Town Hall Session, a Panel Session and Consultation Session (Industry 4.0 Clinic) and has invited experts to provide consultation services to participants and assist Malaysian SMEs to prepare for Industry 4.0.
YB Dr. Ong Kian Ming, Deputy Minister of International Trade and Industry is the Guest of Honour and has kindly agreed to have an open dialogue with participants at the Town Hall Session. Tan Sri Datuk Ter Leong Yap, President of the National Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Malaysia (NCCIM) cum President of ACCCIM will attend and deliver a speech.
Registration fee for members of ACCCIM Constituent Members and Associate Members is RM100 per person; and for non-members is RM150 per person. The first 100 registered participants will receive a book entitled “The Business Perspective of the Fourth Industrial Revolution” on the day of the conference. Constituent members and Associate Members are requested to disseminate the information to members so as to encourage participation. The Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in Malaysia, The Associated Chinese Chambers of Commerce and Industry of Malaysia (ACCCIM), and Bank of China (Malaysia) Berhad are jointly organising the “Malaysia-China Enterprises Business Matching Conference 2019” on 10th September 2019 (Tuesday), from 9.30 a.m. to 3.00 p.m. at the Shangri-La Hotel, Kuala Lumpur.
