Revision on MDG Guidelines | Shortened on MDG Submission’s Period Effective on 1 April 2019
The Market Development Grant (MDG) was introduced in 2002 with the aims to support Malaysian exporters’ core expenses in promoting Malaysian products or services. The SMEs can apply for reimbursable grant up to RM200,000 for an eligible export promotion activities.
Kindly be informed that effective 1 April 2019, we have shortened the dateline for MDG’s submission in order to expedite the reimbursement process.
MDG’s application:
i. Within 30 calendar days from the last date of the promotion activity for:
· International Trade Fairs or Exhibitions held locally or overseas;
· Trade & Investment Missions (TIM) or Export Acceleration Missions (EAM);
· International Conferences held overseas.
ii. Within 30 calendar days from the first day of listing in Supermarkets, Hypermarkets, Retail Centres or Boutique Outlets located overseas.
Submission of reports by the organiser:
i. Trade fair or exhibition held in Malaysia - within 30 calendar days from the last date of the trade fair or exhibition (format of the report as in Annex 2).
ii. Trade & Investment Missions (TIM) or Export Acceleration Missions (EAM) - within 14 working days from the last date of the mission (format of the report is as in Annex 3).
