MNCs & SMEs Supply Chain Development & Opportunities 

 

We are pleased to inform you that the Malaysian Investment Development Authority (MIDA) in collaboration with General Electric (GE) will be organising a Supply Chain  Conference, themed “MNCs & SMEs Supply Chain Development & Opportunities for East Malaysia which is scheduled as follows:-

The objectives of this conference are:

 

• To provide a platform for multinational companies (MNCs) and large local corporations (LLCs) to share the success of their programmes in supporting local companies to be part of their supply chain network;

 

• To provide opportunities for local companies/SMEs to understand how they can participate in the MNCs/LLCs’ supply chain network;

 

• To create opportunity for local companies/SMEs to have greater market access locally and globally;

 

• To encourage utilization of local products & services for projects/manufacturing activities undertaken by MNCs/LLCs or foreign companies in Malaysia;

 

For your kind information, Y.A.B. Datuk Patinggi (Dr) Abang Haji Abdul Rahman Zohari Tun Datuk Abang Haji Openg, Chief Minister of Sarawak will deliver the keynote address at the conference. There will be a plenary session focusing on the supply chain development by speakers from MNCs/LLCs; and a pre-arranged business matching session at this conference.

Malaysian Investment Development Authority (MIDA) will be organising the National Investment Seminar scheduled as follows:-

                        InterContinental Hotel, Kuala Lumpur 

 

3.       The main objectives of this seminar are: 

 

·        To update local companies on current policies, incentives and facilities provided by the Government; 

·        To provide a platform for participants to network with relevant agencies; 

·        To provide an opportunity for the seminar participants to discuss on any potential business collaboration.

 

4.       Y.B Dato' Seri Ong Ka Chuan, Second Minister of International Trade and Industry, MITI will deliver the keynote address at the seminar and there will be two (2) Plenary Sessions focusing on the companies experience sharing session based on government agencies assistances and discussion about the current policies, incentives and financial facilities provided by the government and private institution. A business clinic session will also be organised to enable seminar participants to discuss with MITI Agencies and relevant financial institution.
